E-Tracts
An Evangelism Tool for the Internet

When Jesus wanted to get a truth across to his listeners, he used parables about their arts, their culture and their current events.

Today the cultural equivalent of these parables would be relating the gospel to the episode of X-Files or Seinfeld your coworkers saw last night. Remember, you don't necessarily have to approve of the culture in order to use it. Jesus didn't approve of the actions of the Unjust Judge (Lk 18:1-8), the Shrewd Manager (Lk 16:1-13) or of the scandalous theater of his time but he still used word pictures from them to reach his audience.

To Use E-Tracts:

Read an E-Tract, think of someone who might be reached by it and send it to them. You can do this easily.

You can use the File / Mail Document... function of your browser to send the URL address and tract text to the recipient. Include a personal forward or ending. Follow up your E-Tract with a "What did you think of it?" email message to lead the recipient on to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

If that doesn't work, go to the tract and use the Edit / Select All function of your browser and then open a new mail message and paste (Ctrl-V) it there.
